Boy oh Boy was this one action packed weekend! We had activities back to back every day this weekend and in the words of Hattie it was Go Go Go!
Saturday we were invited to take a behind the scenes of the City Arch River Project that is currently going on downtown. I’ll have a full recap later this week, but wow – what a cool project. It will be an awesome addition to the city of St. Louis when it is complete!
Of course we had to be all touristy and take our selfie at the arch on National Sunglasses Day!
Hattie had a blast too! She made a new friend and she did really well on the tour!
She enjoyed exploring their offices and playing with markers and water bottles.
Afterwards we decided to hit up a new place I heard about called Fort Taco for Puffer Tacos & Tamales. What an awesome taco! They have 2 kinds, chipotle and chili verde – I liked the verde the best!
After a quick nap at home, we were off to our friend Matt’s 5th birthday! This was at a local bounce house party place. We got there a little late just in time to go to the next room which was black lights and glow sticks. Hattie didn’t so much love this. She didn’t want to try anything except the huge slide.
She was not impressed. She was however impressed with cake and balloons. My kind of girl.
Sunday was a double duty birthday! It was cousin Eleanor’s 3rd birthday and Jeff’s birthday.
E’s birthday was at a local park and that was an opportunity for H to swing! She had a blast running around, found a new found interest in BBQ chips, and played so hard! I had bought this bubble last year just for today. It was rainy too, so humidity & rain curls were in full swing!
Jeff’s cousin brought her new puppy and H couldn’t get enough of her. She loves a puppy!
Of course, balloons.
Marcy makes awesome banners.
We have one for our 4th of July Party from last year!
This girl had a ball. For a solid half hour, she ran around with 2 carrots and may have used them like sidewalk chalk and then ate them. Immunity building, right?
And by request I made Jeff a pineapple upside down cake. It looks amazing!
We had grand plans of grilling, but for some reason I just wasn’t very hungry.
Tomorrow we are headed for a family day at the Zoo and then hubs and I are going out for dinner for his birthday! I can’t believe he is 36! We started dating when he was 25 and I was 22! Hattie and I treated him to some new workout gear from Lululemon. He’s always lectured me about shopping there, but a few of his fitness magazines convinced him otherwise. He’s converted!
So that was our non-stop action packed weekend! How was yours?
