Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a lovely weekend celebrating dads!
This weekend wasn’t super busy, but I was excited to get out of the house Saturday to celebrate my BFFie’s sister’s 30th birthday. This had been planned for months, so I was definitely excited about it. I even got a new dress I told you about! Melissa rented a bus for everyone, but I opted to drive myself and Marcy because we are maybe 15 mins from wine country and I had no intention of being wild & crazy.
Our first stop was at Chandler Hill Winery. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and we had a reserved area in the shade.
I brought my selfie stick. I will say that is one of my favorite gifts I have ever gotten and I use it all the time!
I had a glass of their sparkling white. I’m a sucker for anything with bubbles.
Our next stop was Sugar Creek Winery. Nice location, wine was not as fabulous. But it was fun to celebrate with everyone.
Sunday was of course Father’s Day. I say the present was the worst kept secret ever. I had screen shotted a picture months ago of the idea and I had handed my phone to Hubs to look at H pictures and he saw it. Oops! He played it off like he didn’t see it. AKA bad liar. Then after our first photo session didn’t get the shots we needed for grandpa presents, I got the letters back and Hattie proceeded to find them and play with them when I was at the wineries! Ahh. Needless to say he loved it. And Miss helped unwrap. So helpful!
We baked hubs a cake that morning before he got up too! He said it was super patriotic. Whatever. I’m just a sucker for sprinkles in the $1 bin at Target.
Sunday was also National Wear Your Lilly Day! This was us last year. I was wearing the Hattie top. You know I had to wear that! Man, I love Timehop. Just look at that Chubby Baby and her squishy cheeks! Oh the days when she would wear a bow.
This year we opted for matchy matchy. I bought this set when she was 2 months old because I had grand plans of doing beach pictures in it. How cute would that have been?
Oh well, I’m sure we’ll find another matching set!
We went over to my FIL’s house for dinner and to visit. Oddly enough in 17 months, Miss H had never been to their house. Hopefully, she’ll be visiting more often and spending more time with her grandparents!
So that was our weekend! Here is to hopefully a less wet week! We need to work on our tans!
