Hello Monday, we meet again! We had a super busy weekend – let me tell you all about it!
Saturday, Miss H and I ran up to the Farmer’s Market to pick up our CSA basket. We had a few green peppers and eggplant we weren’t thrilled about, so we swapped them for sunflowers! They look so pretty in the kitchen!
We went got home, loaded up the car and went to the Kirkwood GreenTree Parade. This is more of a sentimental activity for me as I was in the marching band in high school and this was always the kick off to the school year. I loved doing it. We were worried Miss H wouldn’t last long, so we parked close enough but outside of the parade route to make a clean get away. Luckily, we didn’t need to. She had a ball!
She loved the loud music, the cheerleaders, the dogs and all the old cars. She was soaking up every minute of it. She even loved it when people would toss her candy and she had her first Dum-Dum. She ate the whole thing and maybe a little bit of the stick.
Then after a good nap, we headed back out to have dinner with some dear friends at The Block in Webster Groves. We hadn’t been there before and also didn’t know there was a Jazz Festival going on in Downtown Webster. Oops! Miss H did great at dinner. Great family friendly place but on the nicer side. We’ll definitely be going back.
Yelp had suggested their burger and homemade ice cream. I had both, and they didn’t disappoint.
We also had an appetizer of potato skins with brisket. Wowza!
On the way out, Miss H made a new friend. We had to have been out there for 20 minutes and they were so cute together!
Sunday, I got up and went to Pure Barre and Trader Joe’s. Hubs decided recently that he wanted to start drinking wine, so with the help of a lovely TJ helper, they pointed me in the direction of a few that we may like. I think we’re set for a few weeks!
We also finished our Blue Apron order today too. I’ll share more on that later this week.
We’ve got a pretty busy week planned. Play Dates, Lunch Dates and somehow I roped myself into hosting a park play date for one of the local moms groups on Facebook. So if you’re in St. Louis and feel like coming out to St. Charles County for a park play date on Thursday – let me know!
Oh, I’m also giving away 2 free ticket to Oktoberfest at Anheuser Busch this Saturday. Just head over to my Facebook Page to enter on the Giveaway Tab!
Have a great week!
