Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Ours was non-stop party! Between Miss H’s birthday on Friday and my niece’s birthday party on Saturday, we were super party animals!

Saturday morning I hit Barre and the grocery store in prep for the bitterly cold weather we were having on Sunday. My turkey chili was requested, and I can’t say no to that!

Then later that morning we headed to our niece’s 4th birthday party with a special guest Ariel! Miss H wasn’t quite sure what to think of it all as we haven’t gotten into many of the Disney movies quite yet. However, she did decide tattoos are cool and pick herself out a Snow White one, her love of cake continued and she made a princess crown. All super fun!

Miss H was still not impressed and didn’t want her picture taken with Ariel. She finally warmed up.

The highlight of her whole day – that darn tattoo! She loves it!

And of course we had to match. It’s so funny when people notice that you are matching and then they ask where it’s from because they want to too! Who doesn’t love a good matchy match?!

Then Sunday I ran a few last minute errands for the party, scored this awesome bounce house on super clearance at Target. Because that was totally necessary and it was a good excuse to fold up the ping pong table, right?
We took Miss H out to see the snow. Technically we just got a dusting, but it pretty much made her day!

And then finally turkey chili with goldfish – because I forgot to buy Cheez-its. Oops!

This week I am putting the final touches on Miss H’s bounce party this Saturday, we have a 2 year well visit and the dentist for Miss H! Big week. Oh, and I’m deciding on a dress from Rent the Runway since the one I have been oodling is booked the night of my Gala. AHHHH!

So that was our weekend – tell me how was yours?

Not going to lie, when I saw H's pic on IG, I did a double take because she looked so much older from the back view 🙂

  2. Kinsey wants a mermaid party for her 5th in 3 weeks, I took a screenshot of that Ariel cupcake arrangement- genius!!! Thanks for always inspiring me 🙂

I love the idea of putting goldfish in chili! I bet fish crackers in soup would help my toddlers get more excited about eating my parsnip and lentil concoctions 😉 Looks like you all had a fun weekend!

  4. Barre & birthday parties?! Sounds like the perfect weekend!

I am so jealous of the bounce slide! I want one in our basement, but Chad says no. 🙁 Bummer. Love your matching outfits – I am totally forcing Louise to do this for as long as she'll let me! My mom used to SEW us matching outfits (and matching scrunchies…so cool) Have a great week!!

  6. Wow, I'm jealous of the bounce house too! I literally don'e even have the room for it but I would have bought it anyway… the things we do for our kids.

  7. What an adorable birthday party! And score on the bouncehouse!! So fun. I'm jealous of the snow, even if it was just a dusting. We don't even really get that here in Texas. Also, I think the goldfish in the chili looks delicious! Those little things are addictive.

We just bought that same bounce house after Christmas! It's been wonderful and hope it stays that way for years to come! And that Ariel cake!!! <3
