The Great Pumpkin Patch Express

On Saturday, we had the opportunity to go on The Great Pumpkin Patch Express! We hopped on board with Lucy, Snoopy and the gang for a fun afternoon of crafts, train rides, dancing, snacks and more fun!

Based on the recommendation of the FAQ, we arrived 90 minutes early before our train departure to enjoy the Pumpkin Patch.

As soon as we checked in, we began to see what was to offer in the Pumpkin Patch. There was so much, we didn’t even have time to do it all! There was face painting, balloon animals, a play area (with a slide!), pumpkin decorating and more!

The first place we wanted to stop was picking a pumpkin! There were so many to chose from, and Miss H insisted she needed more than one. Luckily, we convinced her she needed to share with all of the other visitors and she agreed. She picked a winner and we went to see what we could do with the pumpkin!
Inside, there were lots of great options to decorate your pumpkin. We decided to keep our pumpkin plain and visited the coloring table instead. Miss H and Daddy colored Snoopy and even brought a few pages home to color during the week!
There are lots of fun photo opp areas – be sure to get one with the whole family!

After we colored, it was almost time to board the train, so we went over to see the fun tricks that some of the conductors were showing off. Miss H loved it!

The conductor called our group – the Lucy Car! We were escorted to the train where we met Lucy! Our conductor read It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. While we were on the train and we had a little dance party with Lucy!

We were worried that Miss H wouldn’t have enjoyed the train ride or understand what was going on, but she had a blast. I’d highly recommend it. She loved the dancing, the story and took a little bit to warm up to Lucy, but by the end they were giving High Fives.

Overall, this was a darling experience. It is a fun family event that we’ll definitely do again next year! There is still plenty of time for your family to attend the Great Pumpkin Patch Express too! Check the calendar for availability. They also just added a 5PM Ride too!

Thank you to the Great Pumpkin Patch for having us attend the event in exchange for sharing our experience. We had a fun time and look forward to going again next year.

What a fun event! This reminds me a little of the Thomas event we went to in Baltimore, minus the pumpkins. Noah would love this!

What are you a part of to get all this free stuff lately?

  6. My daughter would LOVE this, she's a huge Classic Peanuts fan (which is funny in itself because those cartoons are so slow compared to ones today) but I think its darling. Wish this was near us!

  7. That is super cute! What a fun fall combo.
