If your house is like our house, it’s like grand central station. Soccer, dance, swimming, we seem to do it all and pack it into our busy schedules. One area we refuse to skip is family dinner every night. While the schedules may be hectic, we prioritize family dinner nightly so that we never miss what is going on in each others lives. This past week Hattie was in soccer camp and she has so much to say about her days.
With schedules being so crazy, I like to take a little help from the store when I can to put a quick and easy dinner on the table. If you looked in our deep freeze right now you’d see a stack of Tony’s® Pizzeria Style MEAT-TRIO® Pizza and Tony’s® Pizzeria Style Pepperoni Pizza. What I love is to take some help from the store and then pair it with an easy side dish like my Easy Garlic Knots. The beauty of these is that you can whip them up while the oven is preheating (bonus both cook on the same temperature!) and then bake a pizza and knots off at the same time.
To take our dinner prep and clean up one step easier, I love serving our dinner on a giant cutting board on the table and we have no dishes for clean up. It’s a fun way to eat pizza and your sides all on one platter. Tony’s Pizza taste is authentic and made with real ingredients which is something I can always get behind.
Garlic Knots are super simple to make. Just use your favorite store bought dough and make 12 strips of dough. Then like you are tying a shoe, tie the dough. Bonus, these don’t have to be perfect, and get your kids involved. Hattie loves playing with dough, so this is a perfect kid approved recipe.
Then just simply brush on the melted garlic and herb butter, sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese, bake for 12-15 minutes and brush again and you have the easiest side in town.
What do you like to make for dinner on those busy scheduled evenings?
