Last week we officially finished our kitchen remodel that took about 2 weeks longer than anticipated. We have been slowly moving all of our goodies back in, but to be honest, I am so afraid of keeping my brand new kitchen clean! I have a list of recipes a mile long, but the one I knew I wanted bake with my favorite helper are a classic I grew up on – Davy Crockett Cookies. These delicious cookie bars have been a staple, and I know if I have a helper in the kitchen, we’re going to make a mess. When it comes to keeping things clean, I am Team Sponge all the way! I always make sure I have a Scotch-Brite® Non-Scratch Scrub Sponge on hand because I don’t want the mess and it keeps clean without scratching those gorgeous new granite counter tops!
Let’s talk toddlers. Does anyone have a kid who INSISTS on cracking all
the eggs? Mine always does and it’s easier to just let her do it and clean up the mess as we go. Luckily for her today, three eggs were required and she was messy! Pretty sure there maybe a little egg shell in our cookie bars. But, this gives her confidence and a love for cooking and we talk about measuring and how to be safe and clean in the kitchen. We like to use all natural products in our house, so paired with a Scotch-Brite® Non-Scratch Scrub Sponge, we’re set. I’m not too far from the sink to rinse the sponge in between egg cracks.
I find all my Scotch-Briteâ„¢ Brand products at my local Walmart in the cleaning section. Did you know there is a location just for sponges? Who knew? So many options. I like to keep both the Scotch-Brite Non-Scratch Scrub Sponge and Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge on hand depending on what my needs are. Did you know that the Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge is great for the kitchen, garage and outdoors? Our contractor told us he uses them regularly for cleaning his tools for painting and touch ups. Who knew? Just look for the Green and Blue in the sponge aisle. Green is for Heavy Duty and blue is for Non-Scratch! How easy is that?
Since we are keeping our sweets to a minimum around here, we sent the treats to work with Dad! Before he left for work he helped clean the pan using the Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge to get up those few pieces of chocolate chips that stuck to the pan. It easily removes tough, baked-on messes 50% faster than other competitive sponges.
What kind of Scotch-Briteâ„¢ Brand sponges do you like to use? Are you a Non-Scratch or Heavy Duty kind of cleaner?
