Christmas is 10 days away. Can you believe it? We’re in the home stretch of last minute bows and presents and visiting Santa. Sometimes though, you have to stop and realize that this is just a season and your family is what matters most. Our goal as a family has always been to have week night dinners regardless of the season.
As a SAHM, I’ve always prided myself on having a family dinner on the table at 6pm every night. Sometimes, my grand plans don’t go as planned and I need to call in quick and easy reinforcements. I always keep a DIGIORNO® Pizza
from Dollar General on hand in our freezer for days that don’t quite go your way.
Our day was like this yesterday. Miss H is has been in a nap strike for the past few weeks and I’m we’re slowly going crazy around here. By the time dinner rolls around we’ve been in naptime negotiations for hours and the last thing on my list is dinner. Luckily, DIGIORNO to the rescue!
Tonight was the Three Meat with Cheese Stuffed Crust and I’ll say, it was yummy. Sometimes there is that over powering amount of cheese with a stuffed crust, but this was just right. 1 pizza is the perfect amount with our little family of three and there was leftovers. We’re pretty low key too, just slice up the pizza and put the board on the table. Some paper plates and napkins and we have easy clean up too.
Miss H always tries to sneak the pepperoni ahead of time, but this time, it was still so hot and she asked for help to blow on her pizza. Of course, mommy is the only one who can do this. Apparently, this mommy isn’t full of hot air after all!
Tell me, what is your go to pizza topping?
And because we’re in St. Louis – thin or thick pizza?
Julie says
ok when you are cutting the pizza it looks smaller than normal but when she's carrying the box it looks huge. Anyway you slice it, pizza is good!
Pizza and movie night is my favorite. Especially when the weather is bad. A night in is always fun with my guys.
We ALWAYS have a frozen pizza in the freezer! Also I love seeing Jeff make a kitchen appearance! 🙂
