Last weekend we had the opportunity for a sneak preview of Paws of Fury at Ronnie’s Plaza. It was a great opportunity to have some family time and see a new movie in the theater! If you like cats, poop jokes, and Samuel L. Jackson, then this movie is for you!
About Paws of Fury
A hard-on-his-luck hound Hank (Michael Cera) finds himself in a town full of cats who need a hero to defend them from a ruthless villain’s (Ricky Gervais) evil plot to wipe their village off the map. With help from a reluctant teacher (Samuel L. Jackson) to train him, our underdog must assume the role of town samurai and team up with the villagers to save the day. The only problem… cats hate dogs! Also starring Mel Brooks, George Takei, Aasif Mandvi, Gabriel Iglesias, Djimon Hounsou, Michelle Yeoh, Kylie Kuioka, and Cathy Shim. Rated PG
We thought Paws of Fury was funny and entertaining. Lots of Star Wars references which I actually understood after watching all of the movies. In the movie, they mention that it is 85 minutes at two different times, as a parent I appreciated it. It was included in a funny way as if they were trying to check all the boxes when making an animated feature. The jokes were funny. You have to be into potty humor – literal potty humor. Overall, it’s a cute movie and we’d watch it again when it comes out to streaming services at home. Two thumbs up from us!
