Thank you to all of our partners for the amazing giveaway below. All opinions are my own.
Is anyone completely over these dreadfully cold temperatures? If you’re like me, we are not in love with the idea of being cooped up at home for long periods of time. We like to get out, feel the sunshine and do fun things! St. Louis is filled with so many fun and unique indoor activities that sometimes it’s good reminder of what is available around town!
If you saw me on Show Me St. Louis sharing some of these activities, welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. I hope that these are some fun ideas you can incorporate into your weekly routines with your family. We’re all about fun and especially affordable options to get out and about. Here is a recap of all the places I shared on Show Me St. Louis and stay tuned to see how you can enter to win a giveaway from all of our partners!
One of my favorite indoor activities is going to the movies. Also put on your radar the Enchanted Tales Film Series. Some of your Disney favorites from when you were a kid are coming back to the big screen for just $5!

If you’re like our family, you weave Eckert’s into your family traditions with strawberry picking, peach picking, apple picking and even a trip to the Millstadt Fun Farm! But did you know that there are so many other offerings that Eckert’s has for the whole family? Every Wednesday Eckert’s offers Story Time and a craft in their Country Store. Every week is different with a new craft and story. Other fun activities include Pancakes and Pajamas on Saturday Mornings through February 23rd from 8:30-11:30.
In addition to all the fun on the farm Eckert’s in hosting a Curious Kids Series each Saturday from 10-2pm in the Country Store. The cost is $5 per family which will be donated to a local non-profit group. Partners include St. Louis Science Center, City Museum, Yoga Buzz, and The Magic House. Each week has a new theme and a new partner to learn from. Come every Saturday between now and February 23rd.
If your kiddos are like mine, then they love spending time in the kitchen. Usually once a week I get a baking request and we go to town. Sometimes though, I don’t really want all the mess and I take a little help from Sweetology to help me have some quality family time in two different ways. The first is Nappy Hour. Designed for Pre-K Decorators! Head in store from 10am-1pm Weekdays for $9.99 get 2 cookies, frosting, fondant and of course some time to play in sprinkles! Mom or Dad get a coffee too! My kind of coffee date! How fun does the bin of sprinkles look? No need for reservation, just pop in when you’re available.
If you’re wanting to stay home, consider one of Sweetology’s Decorating Kits. Chose from either cookies or cupcakes and each kit comes with 5 colored butter cream piping bags that come sealed, and it comes with different tips to change out the look of your masterpieces. These can be shipped via 2 day Priority Shipping and freeze great. Or order online and pick up in store in Town & Country. I like to keep a kit on hand in the freezer when we have so much snow we can’t get out of the drive way!
One of our favorite places in St. Louis is The Magic House. We’ve done everything from summer camps to Hattie’s 4th Birthday Party. We’re members and love even just stopping in for a short visit when we’re have some time to spare. I love that we can come to The Magic House and not see everything there is to offer. It’s just that big! There are a few exhibits that are new which include Splash And Bubbles: Dive In, Lend a Fin that opened a couple weeks ago.
Children’s China is also opening on February 2nd and will run through October 27th. Visitors will have the opportunity see similarities and differences in modern day Chinese culture through six different immersive environments. If you’re headed there this weekend, celebrate the Chinese New Year with special events on Saturday, February 2nd!
