1) Swim Lessons!
I’m excited to say that swim lessons FINALLY started yesterday! We are now on our 3rd attempt to get Miss H into lessons. The first session she got RSV the day before, so we moved to the next session. Then there wasn’t enough enrollment so that session was canceled. This class was completely full and we had a ball! She really liked floating on her back and had no issues dunking her head. I think she’s going to be a great little swimmer! If you are in the market for a reusable swim diaper – definitely check our the Honest Reusable Swim Diaper . I’ve had a few different brands, and this one is the trimmest I have seen. We’ll definitely be ordering another! And hello adorable – Flamingos! We also love their sunscreen too! We’re all stocked up for summer!
2) Old Navy Dress – On Sale!
Remember this dress I told you about last week? It came this week and it’s amazing! I’m wearing it on Sunday. It’s one of those kinds of dresses you just toss on and go. Super casual yet sassed up at the same time! It’s on sale and 30% off and free shipping! It’s like it’s free!
3) Mother’s Day Weekend!
I’m excited to be celebrating my 2nd Mother’s Day. Last weekend Jeff and Miss H went on a special adventure – AKA the Painted Pot to make something for me. Last year, she made me the most amazing plate that I have in our kitchen on a stand. It’s adorable and I cried like a baby! We are planning on having my MIL and Mom over to our house on Sunday for lunch. Hubs asked me what I wanted to do and I requested we go to breakfast. We never go out for breakfast and I have been wanting to try the Egg and I. It’s been there for years and it’s 5 mins from the house – but darn it – I want to go!
4) Mom’s Night Out/ Swap Party!
This week I got to attend a Swap Party with some other local bloggers Dacy & Liz and a few more ladies! I had never been to one before so it was fun! I was also selected to host the National Mom’s Nite Out Party, so we combined the 2 together! Everyone brought a few items from their closet that they thought someone else would love to swap. Anything that wasn’t picked up Dacy is going to donate to Dress For Success. Great idea! We had such a fun time with good food and good wine and just chatted for hours! It’s so nice to get out of the house for a girl’s night every so often and make new friends!
5) Mother’s Day Presents ( And let’s pray my mom doesn’t read the blog this weekend!)
Wednesday, Miss H and I worked on our Mother’s Day presents for her grandma’s. Let’s just say there is a painting mess in my kitchen. Of course, Pinterest made me get all crafty and it kind of paid off!
