Happy Friday Everyone! As you may have noticed this week that the little blog that could has taken on a whole new look and feel and I am SO excited. One of my new years blogging goals was to move from Blogger to WordPress and that happened a little bit quicker than I had planned, but so thrilled that it is all done. There is a learning curve to WP and I’m just excited to take my blogging to the next level. A big thank you to Kristen at Whiskey Tango Foxtrot for the amazing level of customer service she provided. I would highly recommend her and would work with her again in the future!
I’m excited to be back online, back in the saddle and blogging once again! I’ve got few neat opportunities in the works and I’m excited to share those with you soon! So in honor of the new year, new blog, new look, I am here to share with you my Friday Five! Here we go!
Facebook Live! – This week I hosted my first ever Facebook Live as apart of a large blogger event. I was so nervous and once I got into it, I really enjoyed it. I’ve even had a few requests to make it a regular part of the blog. We’ll see. Giving away the Hamilton Beach Food Processor was just a really fun and different way that I have reached my audience, so I’m thrilled we were able to partner. Stay tuned for another recipe and more info on the Food Processor in the coming weeks!
Minimizing – I’ve done a really great job this week of limiting my spending and staying on track. I officially got the craziest idea to turn our guest bedroom which is currently Hattie’s overflow baby clothes into her bedroom and convert her nursery into the playroom. Contain the toys and upgrade her to a big girl room! So with that, I’ll be doing a big sell off of Hattie’s baby clothes – mainly the Eleanor Rose, Lilly Pulitzer, Boden, Hanna and a boatload of shoes she rarely or never wore here in the next couple of weeks. I’ll likely create a Facebook group where you can shop till your heart is content. I’m very OCD with her clothes and air dry most of them, so everything is in immaculate condition. I’ll have everything from Christmas dresses worn for just a couple of hours and more! If there is something you’re looking for, let me know! All proceeds of the sales will go to updating Miss H’s big girl room! That’s the deal to get Jeff to paint while we are about to go into full on kitchen construction.
Preschool – I just got paperwork this past week to register Miss H for preschool next year! Can we finish out the year first, please?! We’re really struggling with what to do next as it relates to education. We have a lot of unanswered questions about the future and public vs. private and maybe even moving to a different district. For now, we’ve really enjoyed the school she is in now and we’re actually hoping she can go an extra day because we just love her teacher so much. We also just graduated last week from Parents as Teachers last week and she’s doing amazingly well. We were so sad to age out of the program, it was one of our favorite visits during the school year. It’s amazing how much you have to plan when they are so little!
Birthday Girl – By the end of this weekend, I’ll have a 3 year old. Cue the water works! Guys…how did she grow up so fast? She’s so bright, funny and such a charmer. I’m so proud of her and pretty sure I’ll be a blubbery mess on Sunday. Last week we said goodbye to all of her friends at church as she gets to move to the big kid room this weekend. Everyone was so sad to see her go! Because of the impending ice storm the venue we are going to host her party tomorrow canceled her party. I’m so sad for her. We’ll have to figure something out for an extra special day. Jeff took Monday off too so we’re going to have an extra special fun day planned for her too – including a haircut – by request!
Cozy Wear – A few people have asked me about what I’ve worn the last couple of days on IG Stories and Snap. Yesterday, I wore this funnel neck pullover, but it looks like they are limited on sizing. This jacquard funnel neck would be a great alternative. I actually think I love that one more!
The other one I’ve loving is the Anna Kaiser C9 Collection – the Layering Top Sweatshirt is amazing. Perfect for Barre, or the grocery store.
Okay, so that is it! Have a great weekend, stay dry, safe and may your coffee be warm and your wine glasses be full!
