Growing up, a sweet summer treat was always a Dreamsicle Float. Sure, your standard root beer float is always a great choice, but for me, the Dreamsicle was where the memories were made. These are timeless summer memories I have of my family and the fun we had on the front porch on crisp summer nights.
In honor of my childhood, I wanted to put a twist on that classic treat and make a Dreamsicle Cupcake featuring Orange Crush. That citrus flavor and bright pop of freshness is undeniable. Right now, Crush has been released in glass bottles for even more of a throwback feel. I also love that it is made with real sugar.
The thing I love about this cupcake is that it is 2 ingredients. You heard me right – 2!
These pack just enough orange flavor and the pairing with vanilla frosting is just over the top. How easy were those cupcakes with 2 ingredients! You could even do this with root beer or any other Crush variety. I love that I had a little helper in the kitchen making fun memories. I hope she’ll remember these fun days when she grows up.
Be the hero of your family with these products and create a sweet treat to celebrate every day.
These would be perfect for bake sales, girls night out, potlucks – you name it! I also love that there are so many creative options to make these. I bet you could even do chocolate cake for an orange chocolate cake. I’m getting a Christmas vibe right there!
So tell me, what are some of your favorite throwback treats that just scream good memories to you?
