I received free products in order to host a #Disneykids Preschool Playdate. As always, all opinions are my own. #DisneyKids
It’s not everyday that you get the opportunity to host a Disney Kids Preschool Playdate. I was so excited when we were invited to host our favorite people at our home with one of our favorite brands, Disney Parks! I knew that this needed to be a pretty low key, laid back event as I’m just a month post surgery and over scheduling events just makes for disasters sometimes. We were thrown a couple of curve balls including a sick baby, rain – it seemed never ending. BUT we were finally all able to get together this week, enjoy the sunshine before it rains again the rest of the week and do some fun activities.
You may have noticed our fun unboxing of the suitcase that Disney sent us to help facilitate our fun get together. So many fun things to help us as well as a few extra goodies for our next trip! In planning for the party I wanted to have a few fun activities lined up. Here are some quick and easy tips to have a stress free party!
1) Outdoor Time – Go outside! Because we need all the vitamin D! No playdate is complete without chalk, bubbles, the parachute, and of course Disney Music! We had the Moana soundtrack of repeat! You’re Welcome. 🙂 In addition to the activities we had planned, we also had plenty of bubbles for everyone. I picked up the bubble wand tubes for everyone to have one and to take home if they wanted.
If you don’t have a parachute, get one. It’s such a fun activity with lots of kids and they think it is SO fun! I love this particular one, but they are affordable for about $20 online.
2) Snacky Crafts – I always love to offer a snack option at our playdates and this one I thought would be a hit! We had all the fun table decorations and we decorated our own cupcakes. I prepped ahead Funfetti Cupcakes and took some help from the store with frosting and topping items.
I took some help from the dollar store and picked up this veggie tray to keep all the topping choices separate. Of course, when we’re dealing with toddlers, those grand plans often go out the window. I picked a variety of sour, sweet and of course Oreos to make Mickey ears!
To make clean up easy, we used all paper products and plastic knives to spread the frosting. Adults helped, of course!
For a non-sweet option, we had Pop Secret Popcorn in these adorable popcorn containers. I picked some extra up a few extra popcorn containers for movie night around here too! We also had a backup plan of a movie day just in case the rain didn’t want to cooperate. Of course, Moana was on tap for that. We can’t get enough around here!
3) Party Favors – No party is complete without party favors! As I mentioned all the kiddos got bubble wands and the moms were able to take home HP Social Media Snapshots to print pictures at home of their favorite photos. Bonus – the sheets have a re-stickable backing!
4) Have Fun! – I know putting on playdate or any event in your home can be stressful and time consuming. Take a deep breath and roll with it. Don’t stress if people can’t make it or the weather changes. Adapt and have fun. If you’re having fun, the kids will too!
Thank you again to Disney Parks for a magical event! I can’t wait to get to Disney World next month with some of my favorite people to do some scouting for our family vacation to Disney very soon!
