Let’s talk easy party food. If you are a Midwesterner, one of the truest staples of any home party is pulled pork. I love pulled pork in so many ways, but after a while pork on a bun with BBQ sauce gets a little boring. Can I get an Amen? Luckily for you, I’ve got a yummy and super easy recipe for Coca-Cola® Pork Street Tacos! A little twist on a classic, but when I can, I always love to add Tex-Mex flare. While I do just love meat and cheese tacos, we’re always trying to mix things up especially when it comes to toppings!
What Makes This Different?
The big twist? The spices. I love adding a little cumin and Coca-Cola® to the slow cooker. The sweet paired with the smoky flavor is delicious, not overpowering. After 6-8 hours of slow cooking, the pork is fork tender and shreds so easily.
I like to pick up my Coca-Cola® products at Sam’s Club. I love that the Coca-Cola® Mini Cans are the perfect size. You only need 2 cans for that subtle hint of sweet paired with the cumin. I also love picking up the other ingredients like the veggies, tortillas and sides for the ultimate fiesta. While I’m there, I also pick up my party supplies at Sam’s Club too, so we are ready for entertaining at a moments notice. Plates, napkins, beverages – it’s party time!
The other thing I love about Sam’s Club is that I can use the Scan & Go option or order online for quick pick ups so there is more time at the party! I like to keep Coca-Cola® Mini Cans and Sprite® on hand. It’s great for recipes, or just a refreshing beverage.
Add these tacos to a delicious home party spread for an upcoming football at home party, or just make them for dinner. Either way, you’ll have a home-run (or a touchdown) with these tacos! - 1 Pork Butt 4-6lbs
- 2 Coca-Cola® Mini Cans
- 2 TBSP Garlic Powder
- 2 TBSP Onion Powder
- 1 1/2 TBSP Salt
- 1/2 TBSP Pepper
- 2 TSP Cumin
- 24 Corn Tortillas
- Sliced Radishes for Garnish
- Pico De Gallo for Garnish
- Lime Wedges for Garnish
- Cilantro for Garnish
- In your slow cooker, add pork butt, cola, and spices. Set on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6
- Once time is up, remove from slow cooker and with 2 forks shred pork. Add 1/2-1 Cup of cooking liquid back to pork.
- To serve - heat tortillas, add shredded pork, garnish with sliced radishes, pico de gallo, lime and cilantro
