Apple Pie Shakes

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas the dessert of choice in my house has always been apple pie. It is my husband’s absolute favorite pie in the whole world. I don’t ever have to ask him what kind of pie, because I already know the answer. Lattice top, crumble, you name it – he is an apple pie guy.
If you are like me though, you can only eat so much pie, right? Years ago I decided to switch up our pie after the holidays and “Pie-Cycle” into something totally different. Just take your favorite leftover pie, combine with ice cream, milk and and Reddi-Wip®and you have a completely new dessert. I like to take a little help from the store with Marie Callender’s® Dessert Pies. Sure, homemade is good, but pop one in the oven for an hour and you have a clean kitchen and you look like you’ve been prepping for days!
Combine 1 slice of Marie Callender’s® Dessert Pies in Dutch Apple Pie, ice cream and milk in a blender until blended.
Pour into glass, top with Reddi-Wip® and garnish with the crumb topping and enjoy!
How easy is that? Think about the possibilities! We also love doing this with pumpkin and cherry (my personal favorite). I even love sprinkling a little Pumpkin Pie Spice or cinnamon on top too for a warm spice!
We love having movie marathons at our house after a big holiday and use up the leftovers and Pie Shakes are always a big hit. For me, it’s a way we can share the joy of pie with our friends and family. Is it me or do baked goods bring people together?
I find my Marie Callender’s® Dessert Pies and Reddi-Wip® at my local Walmart. The pies are located in the freezer section with the pies & toppings. My store also had an end cap freezer full of these pies as well just for the holidays. The Reddi-Wip® is located in the refrigerated section near the creamers and cream.
