This past week was a little crazy and we needed a little bit adult time. I told hubs to secure a babysitter ( AKA Grammy) and I said I’d handle the rest. Knowing that it was going to be a GORGEOUS day we opted for a trip to wine country. The perk of living where we are, we are no more than 25 minute away from Missouri wine! Apparently, we thought it was a good idea as did EVERYONE else. Holy moly was it packed.

We opted for Cedar Lake Cellars and it was gorgeous. We had never gone before and it was so much fun. Gorgeous scenery. There is a huge outdoor area where a live band was playing and we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and good conversation. Conversation consisted mostly of our future plans for remodeling our kitchen, but it wasn’t kid talk or work talk – win-win!  We started out with a quick tasting. Jeff isn’t much of a wine drinker, but I’m slowly converting him. I’m a chardonnay drinker, and I let him choose what he wanted and this Vignoles has a great pineapple hint. Delicious!

This time of year in St. Louis the weather can be SO confusing. Is it fall? Is it summer? I decided to go for a combo. I went with my favorite skinny jeans, chestnut Tieks, and this adorable ruffled top from eShakti. I’ve gotten a few things from eShakti over the years and I love that everything is customizable to you. You pick your style, tell them your measurements and they will make it for you. Want it longer? Different sleeves? No pockets? They can do that too! I actually didn’t need to make any adjustments on this top as the ruffles and the stripes were adorable!

This is a great transition top into fall and will look adorable in the spring with white jeans. I can’t wait!

Sadly, our day date was cut a little short with a sick toddler, but even if we had a couple of hours, it was still nice to get out, enjoy the weather and have quality time with Jeff.

Thanks to eShakti for my adorable top, I can’t wait to pair it with more fun options into spring!

How was your weekend?

Your style is the best. I love that you have pieces that fit into Fall and Spring. Smart thinking!
