Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend? Ours was COLD! BRRRR. Fall crept up a little too fast for my liking this weekend, but we made the most of it. We even caved and turned the heater on Saturday night. Boo!
Here is what we were up to this weekend!
Pretty quiet around here on Saturday morning. Miss H decided she wanted to sit at the kitchen table and watch Mickey….mmm okay. Contained and quiet? I’ll take it!
Later in the morning I took a Back to Basics Barre class that basically broke down step by step all the different techniques and recommended modifications if you needed one. This was my 12th class, so I felt like I have it down, but I just wanted to be sure. I had some 1:1 questions at the end, so that was good. I’m not quiet there for full on planking, so the modifications on my knees works well.
A few weeks ago I measured myself to see how I’ll be progressing, but I forgot to take photos. I had hubs take them for me yesterday too. Don’t mind the pizza stain on my shirt and bad hair. I was kind of surprised by looking at these pics. You’d never know I was 220 lbs. I feel stronger, so I think it’s working. I notice little differences and that’s good! I’m going to start adding a couple of cardio sessions – Jeff suggested I find a Sweat into the Oldies DVD and have a party with H. We’ll see. But, I’m glad to see this new journey is going well!
So another fun thing happened on Friday afternoon. Dacy came over and helped my select our outfits for our fall photo shoot later this month. We got done so fast, she offered to help organize my closet (twist my arm!) We came to the conclusion I have lots of fabulousness but no where to wear it! So, I’m tasking myself with putting on my pretties and going out and not buying new for my next few events. Challenge accepted!
Which this task came in handy Saturday night when my MIL last minute offered to watch Miss H for us. So we opted for dinner and a movie!
I was excited because in the clean out I found this dress I bought WHEN I WAS PREGNANT for post baby – with the tag still on. Really, over 2 years hanging in there. So, I popped it on, wrapped a fancy scarf, popped on my sassy booties and off we went!
We went to see The Intern and it was so cute. I’d recommend it. We had a gift card and I had a free soda and popcorn on my frequent shoppers card. When did popcorn and soda become SO HUGE?! It was 64 oz soda. I can’t drink all of that and I maybe ate 2 cups of popcorn.
After dinner we went to Prasino, one of our favorite places on this side of the river. I love using the Open Table App because we were able to make reservations before the movie and we had no problems getting in and out in no time! We’ve made it a priority lately to have some date nights and couple time because that’s super important to us.
Sunday, was pretty quiet. I got up and went to Pure Barre, to implement all my new found skills and hit the grocery store. We played around in the backyard with Miss H. I ended up picking a rake up a few weeks ago for $1 at Target and she loves it!
Other than that I made Fried Okra for dinner since I had these gorgeous okra to use up. We’ve got a busy week this week. We start tumbling and have PATs too!
Have a great week!
