Well, you may have noticed that Facebook is gone and there is a cute picture of a 7 week old Hattie in the background. In fact, it’s been gone for 2 days. I’ve been toying with the idea of deleting the app because at the end of the day, it is a time sucker in my life. Huge distraction. I was chatting with Megan & Tabitha and we all just decided to bite the bullet. At first I was worried I’d lose FB Messenger and Pages (to keep up with AHM3 Page, of course), but those 2 apps still work just fine without it.
The verdict? Well, I have actually gotten A LOT of stuff done. I feel less distracted. I can probably admit to a good 2ish hours during the day of randomly scrolling, commenting on groups, getting annoyed by moms in groups who don’t know how to google a darn thing and of course BST Groups. I was investing my time in something that was trivial and didn’t matter to the big picture. I’m still keeping Twitter and Instagram, so feel free to follow me there!
The only way I’ll allow myself to access Facebook is thought my computer. I’m not getting sneaky and pulling up my browser on my phone. I’ve found that I pop on for 2-3 minutes a couple times during the day, and I move on. I’ll give you an update along the way, but this is such a great decision for me at the moment! Yay!
